To be completely honest, I only decided to watch this because of its cast. While I am interested in Shakespeare, the title really didn’t catch me at all. In fact, I thought it’d be really boring. I was happily proved wrong. A Waste Of Shame was actually really good, and not at all what I expected (I definitely wasn’t expecting quite so much homoeroticism, that’s for sure). I’d definitely recommend this movie.

The Revengers’ Comedies was….. Odd. It wasn’t brilliant, nor was it terrible. It was just very weird. I watched it with my Mum, and we both found it really very funny, but we didn’t really know what to make of it XD it’s just a very strange film.

When I heard Tim Burton was doing another film with Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp, I basically just rolled my eyes. I love Burton, and his films, and I love Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, but I’d really like him to do some films without them for a bit, y’know? But I looked into it anyway, and was rather excited by the rest of the cast list (especially Jonny Lee Miller, because I’ve only seen him in Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein), and then when I finally got around to watching the trailer, I decided it looked rather brilliant - I wouldn’t say I was disappointed. Dark Shadows is definitely not the best film to have come out so far this year, but it’s still a damn good film. It’s really quite hilarious, and the music’s great, and the costumes are great, and the cinematography… Yeah it was all pretty great. Plus, Alice Cooper. What more could you want, really? I’d definitely recommend this film, but then, I never really thought I wouldn’t like it. It is a Burton film, after all, and I do love his films.

Oh. My. God. The Avengers is seriously the best superhero movie I have ever seen. It’s just…. It’s everything you could want, and then more. It’s funny, and it’s sad, and it’s action packed, and it’s sexy, and it’s just AHH SO FUCKING BRILLIANT. Definitely go and see this movie. Everyone has to see this. Everyone.

We’ll Take Manhattan was really beautiful. I think if you have no interest in photography and/or modelling, then you might find it a little dull, but perhaps not - perhaps it’ll open you up to a world you’ve never been interested in before. Either way, I really liked this film an awful lot.
Plus, uh, Karen Gillan’s legs. In fact, Karen Gillan’s everything.

Burke and Hare was great, and had an absolutely fantastic cast, right down to the small, only-appears-once type of roles. Perfect mix of horrific and hilarious. Definitely, definitely worth watching, especially if you enjoy dark humour.

God. The Fountain was really kind of mind-fucky, and I still don’t entirely know what happened, but it was so enthralling and so interesting and so beautiful that I don’t think I really care, either. It’s sort of one of those movies where, I feel, everyone can take away something different from it, and that’s pretty cool.
Also, it has one of the most amazing soundtracks ever, which you can download here.

Oh. My. Gosh. The Mist was absolutely fantastic. It surpassed all my expectations, despite the amount my friend talked it up. And that fucking ending… WHY WOULD YOU WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THAT? Um but seriously - everyone should go watch this movie, because it’s great.

I thought Red Riding Hood was…. Weird. I don’t know how else to describe it. Just plain weird. But sort of good, so yeah, it was worth watching, even though it kind of felt like I was watching a different version of Twilight in parts.

Enid was a really really good film. I’ve never known much about Enid Blyton, and I’d never really been interested, to be honest. But I feel I should have been. Her life was interesting, and she was absolutely insane, but also quite brilliant. I found myself feeling strangely sorry for her, yet hating her at the same time - she was quite a horrid person, especially to her own family. But Helena Bonham Carter’s performance was outstanding as always. I most definitely recommend this movie, whether you’re interested in Enid Blyton or not - I guaruntee you will be once you start watching it.
